Happy April Fools! Don’t worry there isn’t anything to joke about today as I come to you today with the Stamping Society. This month we are focusing on a technique for the first time ever! I’m so excited for you to see the tutorial. As always to celebrate the release we create a project to share that is different to the tutorial. Stampin’ Up! Wild Roses Stamp Set
Create an explosion of flowers with the Wild Roses Background Stamp [154363]. Use it to create bold backgrounds for your cards and bring a springtime feeling to your projects all year long.
Todays Project
As the tutorial is all about ink blending, I wanted to make a super vibrant background. I selected three colours: Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo & Daffodil Delight. I used our fabulous new Blending Brushes [153611] that were released in the January-June Mini Catalogue. These brushes come in a pack of three so you will be all set to go for this project. One tip that I would say is always start with the lightest colour.
Once you have the background blended then its time to get stamping. I inked up the Wild Roses Stamp Set [154363] in Versamark Ink [102283] before stamping it onto the background. As this is a sticky clear ink it doesn’t dry quickly. To speed up the process I used an Embossing Buddy over the background, the powder sticks to the Versamark Ink creating this soft imprint. I selected the sentiment from Happiest of Birthdays Stamp Set [152539].
