Happy April Fools! Don’t worry there isn’t anything to joke about today as I come to you today with the Stamping Society. This month we are focusing on a technique for the first time ever! I’m so excited for you to see the tutorial. As always to celebrate the release we create a project to share that is different to the tutorial. My project features the Wild Roses Stamp Set that is carrying over to the NEW Annual.
Stampin’ Up! Wild Roses Stamp Set
Create an explosion of flowers with the Wild Roses Background Stamp . Use it to create bold backgrounds for your cards and bring a springtime feeling to your projects all year long.
As the tutorial is all about ink blending, I wanted to make a super vibrant background. I selected three colours: Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo & Daffodil Delight. I used our fabulous new Blending Brushes that were released in the January-June Mini Catalogue. These brushes come in a pack of three so you will be all set to go for this project. One tip that I would say is always start with the lightest colour.
Once you have the background blended then its time to get stamping. I inked up the Wild Roses Stamp Set in Versamark Ink before stamping it onto the background. As this is a sticky clear ink it doesn’t dry quickly. To speed up the process I used an Embossing Buddy over the background, the powder sticks to the Versamark Ink creating this soft imprint. I selected the sentiment from Happiest of Birthdays Stamp Set .
