It’s Friday, does anyone remember that song by Rebecca Black? If not go google it and hate me later. Anyway, I am back today with The Gentlemen Crafters Design Team. Once a month we get together just to share what we love at the moment. This month I am sharing a new product; Butterfly Brilliance Collection [159408]. This collection of items doesn’t have any sentiment so it’s just perfect to bring in your sentiment only stamp sets. I used the Strong & Beautiful Stamp Set [148732].

Todays Project
There is a little story about today’s card. I was talking with a crafty friend from the Netherlands about how frustrated I was with my card making style. It was more that I was finding that every card seemed the same. I’m not sure if you’ve ever experienced this? Either way, I wanted to mix it up a little bit by using the Butterfly Bijou Designer Series Paper [156824]. This paper is just wonderful, and I’ve used it for the background paper as well as fussy cutting the butterflies out.
The Basic White Card [159228] die cut butterflies are from the Brilliant Wings Dies [155523]. These dies are amazing and so varied. Not only do you get the linear designs however we also have the block shapes that coordinate brilliant with the Butterfly Bijou Designer Series Paper [156824]. The smaller butterflies where fussy cut with our Paper Snips [103579]. I love nothing more than to get fussy cutting!

J’ADORE the Butterfly Bijou dsp – HAD to order two packs! Lol! The Butterfly Wings dies coordinate perfectly with the Strong & Beautiful sentiments. I often overlook the sentiment stamp sets because I often prefer to hand write my own sentiments from-the-heart, usually on the inside of my cards/notelets. I’m also loving all of the fine detail in the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set too. Yes, I’m a fussy cutter pro too!
Love the linear design of this card Martin – the fab cluster, the delicate splatter and the POP of yellow just off to one side finishes the design of perfectly – imo. We all have to re-invent our style from time-to-time Martin – you’ve certainly pulled it off this time. I hope that you are happy with the result because you should be.
