The 30 Day Christmas Card Making Challenge was designed to get us ready for the festive season, earlier than we might have without it. Each day a challenge is posted with a card that I have created for the challenge. If you are joining the challenge then please share them using the #30DayChristmasCardMakingChallenge or join the Facebook page. Links to both are available below.

A little about today’s challenge…
Christmas trees are an iconic Christmas image. It would be a crime to not create a challenge honouring it and making it the focal point of your project. One tree, maybe two or even three, celebrate the tree.
TODAY’S PROJECT
For my project I wanted to create a feeling of when you shopping for Christmas tree. I used the Tree Angle Stamp Set [153442] which is full of fun patterned triangles. You’d love this set for how much you can do with it. There is so many possibilities and for this card I used it just with some masking and layering.
I choose two stamps from the Tree Angle Stamp Set [153442]. Using the larger stamp I stamped the image in Versamark Ink [102283] onto Garden Green Card [108605]. Once I had stamped the image once I then masked on the tree with post it notes and then stamped the smaller one. I repeated this twice for one to be flat on the card base and one on Stampin’ Dimensionals [104430].
This project still seemed a little flat. In order to prevent this I brought in my favourite tool in the catalogue; Sponge Brayers [141714]. I used this to add some layering of ink on the Misty Moonlight Card [153086] as well as behind the trees. I’ll be completely honest, I was a little disappointed on how this card turned out. I love the products however the sentiment seems a bit of a second thought. It really wasn’t. This being said it’s still a fun way of using these trees.
