Hello and welcome to the Artisan Design Teams Blog Hop! This month we are featuring the gorgeous Trimming the Town Suite [155105]. This Suite is such fun and it’s really not just for Christmas, if you follow my site you will already been aware of other projects created with it. I know you are just going to love this hop.
Trimming the town Suite:
As soon as I saw the Trimming the Town Suite [155105] I just knew I had to have it. I adore the Suite because of how accessible this kit is. While today’s cards are considered ‘avid’ project, anyone could make them. The reason for this is how this suite is designed. Most of the images are found within the Trimming the Town Designer Series Paper [153491].
For my cards I wanted to select just some of the colours found within the Suite and use them as the base. The first card was created with Pool Party Card [124391] which I’m sure you’ll agree give a wintery feel straight away. On all of my projects you’ll see that there is ink blending around the outside. I created this with the Sponge Brayer [141714].
The Home Together Dies [153515] are heavily featured throughout these projects. The reason for this is because it coordinates perfectly with both the Coming Home Stamp Set [153500] & Trimming the Town Designer Series Paper [153491]. One thing I would suggest when die cutting the DSP, cut some Whisper White Card [106549] with the die and stack these behind. This just helps to strengthen the DSP.
What I love most is the deep contrast in colours which oddly harmonise with one another. As I have demonstrated with all the projects you don’t need a lot of skill to create amazing projects. All you need is well designed beautiful products such as the Trimming the Town Suite [155105] and you are good to go!
