Hello and welcome to the Artisan Design Teams Blog Hop in July. This month was super exciting as we have a mix of projects using two different bundles that are available from the Annual Catalogue. The bundle that I am featuring today is the Nothing’s Better Than Bundle. If you are addicted to your coffee, chocolates & cocktails like I am, you’ll love this bundle.
I’m going to start off by going walking you through my thought process on these project. Sometimes I just get something in my head and can’t step away from it. As soon as I saw the images I was getting this 70’s/80’s American Diner vibe, you might agree. With this in mind I wanted to recreate that style in the cards I created. Easier said than done.
There was so much inspiration out there from old magazine adverts to looking at retro signs, just nothing fit with the look I wanted. In the end inspiration hit in the form of a retro clock. It has all the shapes that you would expect just in funky contemporary colours. These almost have a The Jetsons feel to it due to the colour combo.
The Nothing’s Better Than Bundle is perfect for repetitive imagery on your project. I stamped the small star image over the Pacific Point card to create a unique background. To mix it up a little for the coffee card I included the coffee cup with the heat waves with the stars. I love how this matches with the Dainty Diamond 3D Embossing Folder.
