Happy Sunday! Today I am back with the Stamping Sunday Design Team. This month we are featuring one of two things; either our favourite retiring item or our favourite up and coming item. For me I couldn’t help but use my very first stamp set; the Botanical Bliss Stamp Set. It’ll soon be discontinued so if you love it as much as I do, get it before it’s too late.
The Botanical Bliss Stamp Set has some wonderful images and sentiments. For this project’s I didn’t use a sentiment from the set due to wanting a larger sentiment to fill the space. This sentiment is from the Strong & Beautiful Stamp Set. The flower image that is heat embossed onto the Rococo Rose background is however featured in the sent.
The background is where all the detail and interest into the projects are. If you’ve seen my cards before you know that I am loving the Sponge Brayers. I used one of these with a Rococo Rose ink to create the ombre effect background. A question I get asked a lot about is the water droplet effect and there is a video here showing how to create them.
To match the card of course I had to create a matching gift box. This box ended up being ever so slightly smaller than the card which is a shame as it would have been perfect to pop the card into. I was so close at creating a coordinating envelope. It just shows how easy it is to take one design and amend it to different projects.
