Happy Thursday! Today the day of the month where the One Stamp at a Time Design Team get together to share in a little creativity. This month we are working under the theme ‘Manly May’ – More projects for guys. One stamp set that instantly came to was the Label Me Bold Stamp Set which going being discontinued. Want it? Get it.
I really stopped and thought about how we always us the same imagery for male projects. With this in mind I wanted to do something completely different. Let’s go geometric, let’s go bold with colour, let’s spend three hours cutting up squares. I’m exaggerating don’t worry, it’ll only take two hours at most.
The trick with creating this background is to having the squares you use perfectly equal. Stampin’ Up! offers the Layering Square Dies which will make your life do much easier. For this project I used the third smallest square die and used my paper trimmer to snip them into triangles. Just go half and half again in different colours then it’s just a matter of layering them together.
With a design like this I really didn’t want there to be a swirly, curly front. It just wouldn’t work. That’s why I love the Label Me Bold Stamp Set, it’s just fabulous and makes things so much easier. You’ll want to add this stamp set to your next order.
