TGCDT: True Friend – Stampin’ Up! Tea Together Stamp Set

And I’m back again! I know it’s strange seeing me back two days in a row but I’m sure you’re not complaining that much. Todays the day Where the Gentlemen Crafters all join together to make an inspirational blog hop of all our favourite things.

For today’s post I really wanted to step back and use a stamp set that’s been gathering dust for a little while and see what new things I could come up with. The Tea Together Stamp Set is one of my all-time favourites as it has some great floral imagery. This stamp set does have coordinating dies that call all the images within the set and makes life a lot easier. I know I’ve created some amazing project and seen that some of you have as well from the images you’ve shared.  

The concept for this card was using a bright colours against a dark background. This was inspired by the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper which has a sheet with a similar effect. My idea was to replicate this on a much larger scale, maybe covering the full card base. As you can see this idea took a U-turn however I’m still happy with the outcome.  

This card does take a little work but the effect is so worth it! I stamped each image onto the different coloured sheets multiple times in Versamark before heat setting in white. I did cut out the flowers individually to get a nice tight cut, but there is the dies that you could use should you wish. Once they are all cut out it only a matter of assembling all the bits together onto the Basic Black Stitched Rectangle shape. The sentiment is from another one of my favourite sets; Strong & Beautiful.
