And we are back, how was everyone bank holiday weekend? Reality hit hard today having to head back to work especially with the early start. Not to worry I powered through because I knew I had to get back to get this post written and ready to go.
The other week went I sat down to actually make a couple of cards this was one that I had planned a couple of times but never actually got around to it. The idea itself is relatively simple and easy to replicate. It’s just multiple layers of stamping, inserting different pieces of card stock and restamping. I told you simple. As I always say I don’t do difficult.
I always get ask where I get I’m inspiration from and if I’m honest it’s all around. As card makers, scrapbookers or wider known papercrafters we tend to look at others who do what we do. Which is great and whatever you do don’t stop coming here! I need you! But look at other element, this card was inspired by a furniture advert. It used big bold block of colour with a line drawing over the top. We are naturally creative but we need to feed it with more than just the same.
The best part of this card is the use of colour. You can go crazy or even keep it simple, or even not use colour and just use back and white. I really want to recreate this card in every colour that Stampin’ Up! makes. How cute would that be?!
What’s next? I’ll be back on Sunday with the Stamping Society and we’ll be using a new stamp set from the Autumn/Winter Catalogue! Have you received yours? Get in touch and I’ll get one in the post!
