It’s been crazy couple of days here in the Hughes-Stone Manor, in a good way don’t worry but it doesn’t make it any less tiring that’s for sure! I’m very much looking forward to a nice long nap!
For today’s card I was thinking about using some of my new stamp sets that I haven’t used as much as I would’ve liked. Don’t get me wrong there still some there that I haven’t each touched yet but we’ll just keep that between us! The Verdant Garden is Stamp Set is absolutely beautiful with some amazing background building stamps, sentiments and this beautiful leaf flourish. While this set is amazing I always feel there isn’t enough and always wanting to use it with another set.
Because of this I challenged myself to work really hard I’m not using another set. I will say that Stampin’ Up suggest using this alongside the Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set which would work perfectly however we don’t always have the funds to buy everything we want straight away. Hopefully today’s card can show you that you can use this stamp set by itself.
I love the idea of the leaf flourish vining (is this even a word?) from behind the cycle. This is however super scary as you can see the mess behind on the video below. Stay with me though as you can see how super cute it turns out in the end. People always ask about how to make their cards stand out. My trick is to think of the small details like taking the time to colour the individual leafs.
On Friday I said how I need to make plenty this weekend. Well I didn’t. I had a little creative block and it through me off a little bit. This being said I have had plenty of idea for different things to start things over the festive period! Which I find exciting anyway!

Wonderful job with this card. I have been using the Blends from the beginning and never knew the technique of using the ink on the tip of the lifter, can’t wait to show my crafters this tip!!!
Thank you Martin.
