And I’m back today with the Creation Station. I love being apart of the team because the themes give me a challenge and I always want to step up my game just to match the others taking part. This months theme is ‘Go Wild’ and as always this is pretty open ended. The premise of the theme is use an animal themes Stamp Set, any, just go wild! See what I did there?
Animal Stamp Sets are always a winner and just perfect for any occasion. If I’m honest I was super happy with how many stamp sets their is to choose from in the Annual Catalogue, they are just super cute! Today’s card uses the Wildly Happy Stamp Set, one that was given to some demonstrators at On Stage in April and god know I really wanted it. Sadly I didn’t but it’s okay as I’ve got it know. It’s an adorable set with some beautiful images and perfect sentiments.
I talk a little in the video and about the design of the animals included in the set, they are simple images created with a sketched line, which I love, almost as if I draw it myself. Originally I had stamped this onto the Smoky Slate and heat set this in white however when the card came together it just didn’t stand out. This is why I switched it up to black, something you never see me use.
Along with the sketchy design in Elephants, I wanted the foliage to match and the Free As A Bird just works perfectly. I bet the same artist designed both sets because they are beautiful. I knew I didn’t want the flowers to over power the main focus on the card by adding colour. I made a decision to keep a monotone look to this card and they meant these flowers too!
Know you’ll be wanting to check out the next project in this amazing hop. Next up we have the brilliant Sara Levin, I can’t wait to check her project out!
