It seems like forever since I last posted. Things have been pretty none stop here of late, especially with you all loving the NEW Annual 2019-2020 Catalogue. I have been trying to find time to craft in between jobs as a sort or reward for getting tasks done. Have you been crafting much recently or are you waiting for your new items to turn up?
Today’s card has been in the background for the last 6 weeks waiting to be posted about. However it’s one of the cards you just stop and think no I’ll post about this one instead or this one worked better and on and on. So I’m being stricter with myself and actually posting it. A lot of formats that I use have changed since making this card and video so please excuse the ‘flashback’.
I love this card so much in the concept however if I was to make the card again then I’d review the choice of colours. Do you not think there just needs to be another colour maybe or even on coloured card stock? The colour used is Blackberry Bliss and Whisper White, the great part with this card is the fact you don’t have to use these colours. You could quite easily swap out Blackberry Bliss for any other colour that Stampin’ Up offers.
The main aperture is created using the very popular Butterfly Duet Punch. You all know I love butterflies well it’s been a while and with the Up coming projects I have planned you want see them for a while so why not get it out there. I created this two different ways; one I cut a piece of card stock down to the size given in the video below, this works okay but it takes some time to get it straight. I’d recommend just punching it out of a standard piece of Whisper White and cut it down so it has 1cm each side from the punches shape.
So I’m off to play with the new items and really get stuck in with some new items and I’ll be back on Thursday with the OSAT Team with the theme “Something old, something new”. I’m excited are you?
