Today’s post is the first in what is going to be a very busy weekend! I love being a demonstrator and sharing what I love with you as well as other demonstrators across the world. I’m so grateful for the community that we are in and the support I’m given.
The card is created is a little similar to the card I created in the Facebook Live this time last week but this being said I could also has its similar to one I created back in 2013. If it isn’t broken don’t try to fix it. What I love about this Paper Pumpkin is it’s letting me get back into my vintage routes. The imagery throughout that kit just works so well together.
Do you remember when I said about using all the accessories on a few good cards? Well I had already done this by the time of getting around to days project. I felt like the card would benefit from some flowers but I didn’t want to stamp any one. I had one of the floral notecards left so I started cutting this up, just so I knew I had enough.
Now if you’ve been around a little bit you’ll know by I’m not a huge fan of 3D projects or just anything other than cards. I just feel a little out of my comfort zone but I’m pushing myself to do more. Alongside these 3D projects I also want to start scrapbooking a little more, this is why I wanted to combined the two!
I’ve probably had this square notebook for 5-6 years, so a pretty long time, with it originally being brought to be a sketch book for while I was at College. At last I never used it as I found a much better one to use instead. I was a little unsure what sentiment to use or how to brand this soon to be scrapbook. Shelli had my back as within the Stamp Set was the word ‘Grateful’.
I just wanted to the design super simple, one thing that I have seen a lot recently is doubling of vellum. You would have noticed that there were vellum feathers in this Paper Pumpkin. Due to the colour of the scrapbook and the Pool Party Envelope the feather didn’t really stand out, by layering two on top of one another it really pops.
Now don’t be heading off anywhere as you still have plenty of other people to hop around and see all the wonderful examples of how to use this amazing kit.
I’ll be back this Saturday with the Stamping Society Blog Hop as we use one of the NEW catalogue items. I love the stamp set we are using as well the projects I’ve created, make sure you head back then for some pretty exciting stuff!
