Has it really been four weeks already? I can’t believe it time already time for the One Stamp At a Time Blog Hop! I won’t lie to you. I’ve left everything a little late for this project just purely because I’m no good with 3D projects. I just don’t like them. This being said you all love them so of cause I am here to please.
As I said I struggle a lot with 3D projects but at the same time I don’t want to take a pre made box or bag and decorated, I can and that would be acceptable and I’m sure I’d do an amazing job – not floating my own boat or anything but there’s something good in challenging yourself. So I made a little bag. I hope you like… I always try with the projects created for OSAT to show how one design can be easily translated to a 3D project or then the other way around. I posted an image over on Instagram of the Hostess Gift that I’ve sent out earlier this week and that translates into today’s project. I started by using the idea to create the card and then transfer this back to a 3D object.
The bag itself is upper easy to make. The card stock or DSP will need to measure 6×11 inches. You’ll need to score at 2 inches to create the base then you’ll need to score downwards at 2 inches, 5 inches, 7 inches and at 10 inches. Easy right don’t worry there is a video on how the bag is made below.
Both projects are showcasing the wonderful DSP Botanical Butterfly, it’s gorgeous! I love the contrast on how on one side you have a monochrome pattern and of the other it is full of colour and some of which are my favourite; Balmy Blue, Basic Black, Daffodil Delight, Grapefruit Grove, Highland Heather, Lemon Lime Twist and finally Whisper White. There is more than enough and what I love is how all the colours coordinated together. With this DSP you would have seen that I’ve used it previously with the Butterfly Duet Punch however I always enjoy fussy cutting and suggest you have a play yourself.
Now I’m off to work and when I finish I’ll be doing a Facebook Live! I’m so excited, it’s been far to long since my last one and really hope you could all join me. Before then you have plenty of time to hop along to everyone else blogs and getting some amazing inspiration below:
