You Are Loved – Vibrant Vases Stamp Set

I feel like I haven’t been around much this week. I know it sounds silly as I’ve posted as normal and even done some vlogs over on Instagram. As well as this I’ve had customers popping around for my first late night workshop and to pop to in just to place orders. It’s been super busy but I love the rush of it all! I’m always looking for people to join my team.

Today’s card is something I messed around with a fair bit if I’m honest. It’s not that I was struggling with the card or any elements, it was just the compassion. The reason I believe this was the case is due to the amount of free space. I know this has been filled out with the Tufted Embossing Folder, however it is still all Balmy Blue. My original plan was to have it down in the lower corner but I much prefer it this way.

The flowers is something experimented with as well. With so many options on how to colour I found myself really overwhelmed and I must have stamped these flowers 10/12 times. From the video below you’ll see how I ended up using Stampin Write Markers but this isn’t where I started. To start with I attempted Blends to get a nice gradient of colour with some shading as well as water colour. Nothing just seemed to work. If you watched my vlogs last weekend this is the card you saw me pulling my hair out with! The markers for me were just the right fit, what I love is the depth of colour you get.

What I love most about this stamp set is how versatile the stamps are, you are able to take such a small stamp and use it in a different way that what might have been intended. As always I have a video for today’s card but I have a confession… I started the card before pressing record and because I’m waiting on an order of cardstock I wasn’t able to start it all over.

So I spent all day Saturday making cards as well as having a little walk with my partner (let’s not talk about that). Im off to record the videos for the coming week and hopefully once that’s done, enjoy some homemade Battonberg cake. Yum!
