It’s so strange to be posting. It seems to have been so long since I last posted even though it was last Friday. This being said I enjoyed my time resting and getting crafting future projects. On Saturday I spent a lot of my time on Instagram/Facebook ranting about my lack of creative juices but in did manage to create three cards. One of which is this one you see here.
While it seems super simple in design there is a lot of work going into this card. For me with card making is all about the little details to make a massive impact. That inpact on this card comes from the Highland Heather, it’s not often j get excited when something goes right. This was one though, you can imagine me shaking my bottom on my sit and the colour just POP!
I know I’ve said this before but to start with I want sure that I’d love Stampin’ Blends in comparison to the other branded markers. I know we all have our favourite but take it from someone who studied Fine Art, used plenty of these alcohol markers, blends just work better. They also don’t smell as strong as other do for me which prevent the marker headaches. There’s such a vast amount of colours now, I hope that eventually we will have one for every colour but we won’t get them else we all jump on board. If you want to have some of your own please contact me or shop online via my online store.
This card also has a lot of heat embossing happening which you can do all at one. If you are just starting out then I would suggest doing it one element at a time. I love heat embossing with white on Crumb Cake card stock which I haven’t really done since Christmas, it is definitely something I’ll being doing more of in the futures as it is one of my favourite.
Today’s video is rather long which I have attempted to spread oil the video in the areas I could, it’s worth a watch so please make sure you check it out. Maybe save it for later?
I’ve been offered an amazing opportunity but it’s top secret so I’m leaving that as all you are getting. The opportunity wouldn’t have been offered if it wasn’t for a friend putting my name forward. It means so much to me that that person actually thought of me and when I said thank you she only had the supportive things to say. I spent a lot of time with with lady back when I was a demonstrator before in Frankfurt, Germany as well as in Telford. This card will be heading her way as a little thank you!
