It’s Sunday already! I must say I don’t think I’ve ever felt so nervous about posting about a card in forever. After Thursdays post I have received so much support and encouragement from so many of you. The video I created as a little how too has reached over 32,000 people, so this post has a lot to live up too.
As I’m sure you are aware by know I partake in monthly card swap with the Strawberries, the team that I am a memeber of. Now I have been preparing a little welcome pack for my own team The Magic Mayhems, our mascot is a unicorn. Who doesn’t love unicorns?
I set myself a little challenge this month as all my other swaps haven’t been a standard C6 size. Standard card aren’t my favourite to make admittedly but as I’ve received so many in return, it was long over due.
Remember the promotion last month where you received a free pack of Dashing Along DSP for every order of £200? Well while this isn’t available any longer at the point these cards were made, it was. The paper pack had some amazing text in Garden Green, if you followed me way back when you know how much I love my text DSP! As this DSP isn’t available any longer the could easily be swapped for the Music Sheet Stamp, this would have the same affect. I attached this to the base of Crumb Cake with some snail adhesive.
Using the Stitched Shapes Framelits I cut out the largest circle in Whisper White and it time to get stamping. I used the Beautiful Baubles Stamp Set and stamped the sentiment in Memento and the little snowflakes in Garden Green. The baubles where heat embossed in white Embossing onto the Cherry Cobbler sheet of DSP, as you know I have loads of these after creating my swaps so I didn’t stamp any more for this card.
I secured these down with dimensionals before poking a hole on in the top to create the string and bow. The string was made from the Linen Thread to give it a rustic edge, this did take some time to do but it was worth it! Now all what’s left to do is secure it all to the base, I popped these up on dimensionals and used liquid glue for the medallion.
If you wish to join my team The Magic Mayhem please let me know and we can get you started on your very own stamping journey. It costs £99 to sign up but you will receive £130 worth of Stampin’ Up goodies of your choice!
See you around!
