Well I must admit, I never thought I’d get this post up! It seems as if everything that could go wrong did, but we are finally here and I’m most likely finishing this off at work on my lunch break. If this is the case then I hope you enjoy your lunch!
Today’s card is using the using the Beautiful Baubles Bundle; I know what your thinking ‘But Martin, you used that on Sunday’. I’m aware and I apologise but Sean chose the card that I posted and he tends to get his own way! I wanted the Thinlets to be the centre focus on the card and in the Detailed Baubles Thinlets you get two larger Baubles that are so pretty. To make them even pretty I used then with the Merry Merlot abs Copper Glimmer Paper from the Autumn/Winter collection.
With these bauble Thinlets, I added some of the Adhesive Sheets the the back of the Glimmer Card so I could avoid getting sticky figures and in turn glue everywhere. Brilliant right? These are a must have for anybody using a Big Shot. Once all the little elements were all popped out I place them onto some vellum and cut around them. The reason for this was to make sure they stood out from the busy background which are are just about to create.
The card base measuring at a standard C6 size is in Crumb Cake and with the coordinating ink pad, I took the large bauble design and stamped it all over the base to create a random design. Time to bring in the Stamparatus, my new best friend to help me get the sentiment just right. I secured the card base down with on magnet before place my Baubles back onto the card to roughly where I was wanting them. This allowed me to position my stamp, pick it up with the Stamparatus and get it just right. I stamped then sentiment in Versamark Ink and heat set in white.
I cut some Mini Dimensionals in half to stick the to the base. Die to the vellum you need to be careful on where you place these as so you don’t see it through once the cards complete. Now we have some floating Baubles which in my eyes makes no sense and even though Sean said it looked fine. I added white thread down to create a string and a little bow to hide the end. To finish the card off and to really bring in the Merry Merlot and Copper I used the Reversible Ribbon Along the top and finished in a bow.
And that’s all for today’s card, I hope you enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed making it. All the items used in today’s card are listed at the bottom of the page with links direct to my online shop.
See you around!
