Sunday means video day! I was luck enough to spend most of the day yesterday in my room making plenty of projects to share with you. More than just cards as well, which is a treat as so far all I’ve made it cards.
Today’s card is super simple but I love how effective it is and how quickly you can whip out 30, 40, 50 for everyone at Christmas. Say this it could easily be stepped up with addition stamping or embossing happening in the background, for an example the is a little sprinkle stamp that is included in the Warm Hearted Stamp Set which could have been stamped and heat embossed as well as the sentiment. I think this would look great. Why don’t you give it ago and let me know?
I stared with a base of Crumb Cake, which is my go to for simple cards. I love it so much and it really is a staple in my craft collection! This was a top folded card in the standard size. I secured it in my Stamparatus with the magnets and placed the Merry Christmas stamp where I wanted it the placed the acrylic arm down to pick up the stamp set. Before I stamped the image down I quickly rubbed the card stock down with the Embossing Buddy so static wouldn’t effect the Embossing.
I’m new the the Stamparatus but I’d admit I can see me using a lot. I wouldn’t say this removed the need for blocks but if you make a lot of multiples like I do then this is a must have! Once I had the sentiment heat set in White Embossing Powder it was time to move onto the cute little trees. Using Garden Green card stock I cut little isosceles triangles in 2 sizes; one larger and two smaller. This is went I introduced the second stamp set Artisan Textures. I wanted a little something to give the can some texture and I felt the stamp that looks like waves was perfect for little branch’s.
All what was left was it put these onto the card base which I put the larger triangle on dimensionals and the smallest ones on with snail adhesive. You all know by one I like my bling so using the Red Rhinestones I added some to the triangles to help with the illustration of little trees.
If you don’t want to read the above it Sunday, that means there is a video below:
