Right it’s that time of the month! As you may remember last month I did a post regarding a monthly swap I partake in. If you are unformiliour with this when you batch make a design and swap it with others to increase your collection of ideas.
Now I’m starting to feel quite bad as all my cards so far have been smaller than the standard C6 size, all I can say is how much I love smaller cards! Using the size for our Narrow Notelet, I made this card to the right. I’m fully Away that you’ve seen me use this stamp set last Saturday but this is a completely different design and it’s is my job so show you how versatile a stamp set can be.
I used the Stamp Set Artfully Folded using the origami Swan as the main focus. As the base and the mat on the card were both Whisper White, I wanted to break this up with a random background made using Mint Macaron and the origami star. Next I ran the second largest square from the Stitched Shapes Framelits through the Big Shot with some vellum to create a frame for the Swan. The Swan used the off stamp technique, this is were you stamp an image first then stamp it again on another piece of card to create a softer effect, I used this for the main body stamp and then just stamped the outline normally.
To secure this onto the vellum I used a dimonsional on the back and when attaching it to the vellum, I matched another one behind, this is so you would be able to see any adhesive. Before moving into the sentiment, i used the Natural Twine in the coordinating colour Mint Macaron, this thread was slightly to thick for my liking so I unravelled it to make the skinnier thread you can see on the card. I attached this just behind the Swan. The sentiment used is included in the Stamp Set and is super tiny, so I cut a strip of Mint Macaron cardstock into 0.5cm strips, wiped with the Embossing buddy and used Versamark stamped the image before Embossing in white.
And that’s all… he says. I have made a video on how I made today’s card as well as a video sharing the cards received in the swap.
All that’s left to say really is roll on next month. I love doing the swaps and sharing my creativity.
See you around!
