Hows everybodies Sunday’s going so far? I’ve enjoyed mine, had a lovely sleep the got up and had a little time in my craft room before getting ready for the day. Me and Sean also took a run into town so I could get some more clear wallets to sort out my scraps and he could get a new cookery book!
Now the card today is the second card we made at my Coffee & A Card Class on the 15th of this month. I wanted to make the projects really straight forward to let the beautiful stamps and colours speak for themselves. The Flourish Filigree Stamp Set offers so many over sentiment so please give this card a go using the others and tag me in your pictures! I’d love too see you’re creations!
I started with a card base in Merry Merlot slightly norrower than a C6 card layered with a mat of Basic Black and then another with Whisper White. Before I attached all layers together, I used the medallion stamp with the Merry Merlot ink pad onto the Whisper White before grabbing my favourite ribbon Stampin’ Up! does, the reversible copper ribbon! It’s so pretty and perfect for Christmas. I cut a strip of this off the roll of the ribbon wrapped the around the back. Once this was all done it was time to layer all the card stock together with just snail adhesive.
For the sentiment I stamped the sentiment onto Basic Black card stock in Versamark ink after wiping the surface with the Embossing buddy. I hear sent the sentiment in White Embossing powder and pinched it out with the coordinating punch – the Pretty Label Punch. This sentiment fits perfect in the centre of the medallion stamp so this is naturally where I was going to put it. In the video below you can see how depending where you place the ribbon can affect where the sentiment sits. But that’s the fun in things being hand made. They are all different!
