Hello me lovelies! It’s Thursday that means I’m one happy lad, oh and to make it all better I had a delivery today so I have new goodies!
Where do I even start with today’s card it’s using two of my favourite stamp sets in my collection; Calls For A Celebration (146579) & Lift Me Up (142896). I should really start at the beginning really and how I imagined up this card. It started around the cupcake, I believe this should be a cloud and the basket from the hot air balloon? However I just see cupcake so that’s what I made. I tried individually stamping them on top of each other but it wasn’t as effective as using the Up & Away Thinlets to cut out the shapes. I used Blushing Bride and Crumb Cake ink, for the candle I just stamped the strings for the balloons in Stazon and used an aqua painter with Daffodil Delights for the flame.
I also used the sentiment from the Lift Me Up (146579) and just just it down so I only had the Happy Birthday and stacked this onto a piece of Vellum that was out out with the Stitched Shapes Framelits. Now I know this all seem backwards because the we have done the main focus of the card before the actual base but it’s worth it I’m sure you’ll agree.
The base is Whisper White in the standard C6 size matted with another layer of Whisper White. On this layer is when we introduce the Calls For A Celebration (146579) and I used the tear drop stamp to add something to the background, this was done in Blushing Bride and also. Once the card was all assembled I added some Rhinestones in random places.
I hope you love the card as much as I do. I know I always say this but it’s one of my favourites, let me know what you think in the comments below. See you around!
