Sometimes a card just needs a proper close-up… Th Sometimes a card just needs a proper close-up…

This one was created with the Curled Blossom Die from @simonsaysstamp for STAMPtember® 2026, and I’m still loving that autumn colour combination.

The whole floral piece was die-cut from cream cardstock and then ink blended with deep green, rich red and warm yellow, with that same red carried into the ombré sentiment.

Want the full step-by-step?

Comment BLOSSOM and I’ll send you the link to the blog post.

STAMPtember® is well and truly underway with @simo STAMPtember® is well and truly underway with @simonsaysstamp! 🎉

Yesterday I joined the @simonsaysstamp STAMPtember® 2026 Party, and today I’m sharing a closer look at the card I created using the new Curled Blossom Die 🌸

I die-cut the whole floral design from cream cardstock before bringing it to life with deep green, rich red and warm yellow inks. The sentiment was ink blended with the same deep red for a soft ombré finish, stacked for plenty of dimension and layered onto vellum.

A linen thread bow, a little ink splatter and a scattering of sequins finished everything off ✨

The full project, including step-by-step instructions, is now over on my blog — link in bio.

And if you missed yesterday’s STAMPtember® Party, my exclusive @simonsaysstamp promotion is still available today! 👀

Bright florals, bold contrast and a whole lot of c Bright florals, bold contrast and a whole lot of colour.

This card was created using the Stencil Art: Amorous Dream & Add-on Die Bundle from @altenewllc and I had so much fun playing with the different floral layers.

I went for a mix of pinks, oranges and yellows, then used the coordinating dies to cut the flowers apart so I could build the design around the edges of the card. That soft blue background helps everything pop, but for me it’s that big black “hello” that really pulls the whole thing together.

I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of colouring flo I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of colouring florals like these! 🌸

I created this card using the Peony Corners Stamp, Die & Stencil Bundle from @alexsyberiadesigns and I just love how those florals completely frame the card.

The coordinating stencils make adding all that colour so easy, and then I couldn’t resist adding a little extra detail and dimension to bring everything to life.

Blue florals on a deep blue background? Yes please Blue florals on a deep blue background? Yes please.

I created this card using the gorgeous Nostalgic Florals Bundle from @altenewllc, and I love how completely different the florals feel against the darker cardstock.

The soft periwinkle flowers and fresh green leaves really pop, while the tone-on-tone stamped foliage helps build out the arrangement without taking over. I also added some loose twine, white splatters and clear sequins for a little extra texture and movement.

It’s definitely one of those cards where all the small details make such a difference.

What do you think of florals on darker backgrounds — would you normally reach for white, or are you tempted to go bold?
