Why you’ll love the Simon Says Stamp Curled Blossom Die
For today’s card I’m creating with the new Simon Says Stamp Curled Blossom Die, and I think this one has such a gorgeous, slightly whimsical look.
Rather than simply giving you one large floral focal point, the individual blossoms, curling stems and foliage make it really easy to build your own arrangements. You could keep things clean and simple with just a couple of flowers, create a bouquet or, like I’ve done here, let everything grow across the entire card front.
I went with a warm autumn-inspired combination of burnt orange, golden yellow, deep green and soft blush pink. I love the contrast between the bold foliage and that lighter background, and adding ink over the die-cut pieces really helps bring out all the little details in the flowers.
It’s definitely one of those dies that could look completely different every time you use it just by switching up the colours and arrangement.
Card Inspiration – Autumn Curled Blossom Thank You Card

I wanted the Curled Blossom Die to really be the star of this card, so rather than creating one central floral cluster, I used the individual pieces to build an almost continuous floral background.
There’s quite a lot of detail, but the oversized sentiment cutting across the centre helps give your eye somewhere to land. The vellum behind the sentiment also softens the florals beneath it without covering them completely.
Here’s how I created the card:
- Cut and fold the card base to A6 size.
- Cut a mat layer 1 cm smaller on all sides than the card base, then adhere it to the base using foam adhesive.
- Die-cut the Simon Says Stamp Curled Blossom Die from cream cardstock. Ink blend the floral die-cut using dark green, deep red and yellow inks, building up the colour across the stems, leaves and flowers.
- Adhere the floral die-cut to the card front using a mixture of liquid glue and foam adhesive to create varying levels of dimension.
- Die-cut the main sentiment and ink blend it with the same deep red ink, fading the colour to create a soft ombré effect.
- Die-cut the sentiment another two times and layer all three sentiment pieces together for extra height and dimension. Adhere the stacked sentiment onto its coordinating vellum shadow layer.
- Attach the finished sentiment to the card using glue dots.
- Create the secondary sentiment by pressing it in brown ink onto white cardstock, then trim and adhere it across the main sentiment.
- Add a loose linen thread bow for extra texture. Finish the card with ink splatter and sequins for a little extra detail and shine.
There are quite a few individual elements here, but I love how they all come together. The soft background keeps the design from feeling too busy, while those bright Curled Blossoms really become the star of the card.
