Hello crafty friends!
Today’s card is all about rich colour, elegant details, and a touch of luxury. I created this project using the beautiful Concord & 9th Gilded Glass Bundle, and I absolutely love how striking this monochromatic design turned out.
The deep peacock tones paired with the gold splatter and sequins create such a sophisticated look, while the layered die cut frame adds gorgeous detail without overwhelming the design. Sometimes sticking to one colour family really lets the texture and dimension shine.
If you’re looking for a card design that feels elegant but is still surprisingly simple to recreate, this one is definitely worth trying.
Why You’ll Love the Gilded Glass Bundle
The Gilded Glass Bundle is one of those products that instantly makes your cards look polished and professional. The decorative frame elements create beautiful layered designs, and the bundle works perfectly for both modern and elegant styles.
What I particularly love about this bundle is how versatile it is. You can:
- Create bold geometric frames
- Layer different colours for stained glass inspired effects
- Keep things clean and simple with tone-on-tone designs
- Add luxury touches with metallic splatter or foiling
For this card, I wanted the die cuts to blend seamlessly into the background while still creating lots of texture and interest. The Peacock cardstock and ink combination worked perfectly for that rich, dramatic finish.
Card Inspiration – Elegant Peacock Monochrome Design

For this card, I leaned into a bold monochromatic colour palette using Peacock tones throughout the entire design. The subtle ink blending in the centre helps draw your eye directly to the sentiment while the layered frame detail creates movement around the edges.
The gold splatter and sequins finish everything off beautifully and stop the card from feeling too flat. It’s proof that you don’t always need lots of colours to create something eye-catching.
- Create a top-folding A2 card base using Peacock cardstock.
- Cut a slightly smaller panel from matching Peacock cardstock and blend Peacock ink into the centre to create added depth.
- Die cut the decorative frame pieces from the Gilded Glass Bundle several times from Peacock cardstock.
- Adhere the die cut elements around the edges of the panel to create a decorative layered frame effect.
- Stamp the sentiment in black ink directly into the centre of the panel.
- Add gold ink splatter across the design for extra texture and interest.
- Attach the completed panel onto the card base using foam adhesive for dimension.
- Finish the card with gold sequins for a touch of sparkle.
