Hello crafty friends!
I’m so excited to be sharing my first project as a Guest Designer for Concord & 9th this May, and I couldn’t think of a more fun product to kick things off than the Lovely Ladybug Bundle!
This card combines bold colour, layered die cuts, and sweet floral accents to create a playful yet elegant design. I absolutely love how the soft pink contrasts against the deep navy background, while the pops of florals bring everything to life. The stitched detailing throughout the dies adds so much texture and interest without needing lots of extra embellishments.
If you enjoy dimensional die-cut cards with a whimsical feel, this project is definitely one to try!
Why You’ll Love the Lovely Ladybug Bundle
The Lovely Ladybug Bundle is one of those products that instantly sparks creativity. The large ladybug die creates an eye-catching focal point, while the additional floral and decorative elements make it easy to customise your design.
What I really enjoyed about this bundle was how versatile it feels. You could create bright and playful cards, soft spring-inspired designs, or even elegant projects by changing the colour palette. The stitched details in the dies do so much of the work for you, giving the finished project a polished and professional look.
I also love that the bundle layers together beautifully, making it perfect for adding dimension and interest without the card becoming overly bulky.
Card Inspiration – Lovely Ladybug Friend Card

For this card, I wanted to create something cheerful and uplifting with lots of contrast and detail. The bold navy background helps the pink ladybug stand out beautifully, while the florals soften the overall design and add a fun spring-inspired feel.
The sentiment banner placed across the centre helps ground the design while still allowing all the die-cut details to shine. A little white splatter across the finished card ties everything together and adds that extra touch of texture.
- Create an A2 card base using dark navy cardstock and add a slightly smaller navy mat layer to the centre of the card.
- Die cut the main ladybug body from soft pink cardstock using the Lovely Ladybug Bundle dies.
- Die cut the decorative wing details from cream cardstock and adhere them into the pink ladybug layers.
- Die cut the head and body accents from bright yellow cardstock and assemble the ladybug.
- Die cut the floral elements using shades of pink, orange, yellow, and green cardstock. Arrange and adhere the florals around the ladybug for added detail and balance.
- Add the assembled ladybug onto the navy card front using foam adhesive for extra dimension.
- Stamp and die cut the sentiment banner before adhering it across the centre of the card.
- Finish the card with white ink splatter and a few embellishments for extra detail and texture.
