Hello crafty friends!
Today I’m sharing a fun and playful travel-inspired card created with the amazing Adventure Awaits Bundle from Concord & 9th. This bundle is packed with adventurous elements including winding trails, scenic details, and bold sentiments that make it perfect for masculine cards, travel themes, encouragement cards, and so much more.
For this project, I wanted to create something that felt like a hand-drawn map or hiking trail, complete with rivers, mountains, and little scenic details. The torn paper layers add texture and movement while the bright pops of red help guide the eye around the design.
Why You’ll Love the Adventure Awaits Bundle
The Adventure Awaits Bundle is one of those collections that instantly sparks creativity. Whether you love clean and simple cards or more layered mixed-media styles, this set gives you so many possibilities.
Here’s why I think this bundle is such a standout:
- Perfect for masculine and gender-neutral card designs
- Great for travel, adventure, outdoors, and encouragement themes
- Mixes beautifully with ink blending and layered textures
- Includes playful imagery and sentiments that work together effortlessly
- Easy to customise with different colour palettes and layouts
I especially love how easy it is to build scenes with this set while still keeping the card relatively flat for posting.
Card Inspiration – Scenic Route Adventure Card

For this card, I leaned into the idea of an old-style adventure map with winding paths and scenic stops along the way. The soft greens and blues create a fresh outdoorsy feel, while the bold red accents add contrast and energy.
The torn paper edges help soften the design and give the finished card a more organic and artistic feel. I also added black ink splatter for extra texture and detail.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Create an A2 card base using light green cardstock.
- Tear two panels of white cardstock slightly smaller than the card front to create layered textured pieces. Adhere these onto the card base with foam adhesive for dimension.
- Stamp the winding river image in a soft aqua ink across the card panel.
- Add the dotted trail lines using a red ink for contrast and movement around the design.
- Stamp the mountain images in a soft neutral ink around the background to build the scenic landscape.
- Add the smaller texture stamps in green ink to create additional detail and fill empty areas of the card.
- Stamp and die cut the tree elements and adhere them across the design using foam adhesive for added dimension.
- Stamp the compass image in dark ink toward the top right-hand side of the card.
- Stamp the main sentiment in black ink directly onto the card front.
- Heat emboss or stamp the “Wish You Were Here” sentiment strip in white onto red cardstock and adhere across the centre of the design.
- Finish the card with black ink splatter and a few extra embellishments if desired.
