Hello crafty friends!
Today’s card is all about rich colour, beautiful layering, and those stunning fuchsia florals that instantly draw the eye. I’ve been playing with the Magical Fuchsia Press + Foil Plate & Die Set from Alex Syberia Designs, and honestly… this one is a showstopper.
The combination of deep, moody cardstock with vibrant pinks and soft lilacs creates such a striking contrast, and when you add in dimension and a little splatter, it really brings the whole design to life.
Why you’ll love the Magical Fuchsia Press + Foil Plate & Die Set
If you’re someone who loves bold florals with versatility, this set is going to be a firm favourite.
- The press plate gives beautifully detailed impressions that are perfect for colouring
- Coordinating dies make it easy to create dimension and layered designs
- Works beautifully with ink, BetterPress techniques, or even foiling for different looks
- The floral design is bold enough to stand alone or be built into fuller arrangements
It’s one of those sets that can do all the heavy lifting for your card design while still giving you plenty of room to get creative.
Card Inspiration Magical Fuchsia Floral Card

For this card, I really wanted to lean into contrast and depth. That deep plum background sets the stage perfectly for the florals to pop, while the layered panel helps frame the design and draw your eye straight to the focal point.
The florals were coloured using alcohol markers to create soft blends between pinks and lilacs, with added depth in the centres and petals. I then die cut them and arranged them cascading across the card for a natural, flowing look.
A simple white heat embossed sentiment keeps everything clean and balanced, while the ink splatter and sequins add just the right amount of texture and movement.
- Start with a deep plum card base and cut a slightly smaller panel from the same cardstock to create a layered mat.
- Use the Magical Fuchsia Press Plate to create your floral image onto white cardstock.
- Colour the florals using alcohol markers, blending pinks and lilacs for the petals and greens for the leaves.
- Die cut the florals using the coordinating dies.
- Arrange and adhere the florals across the panel, allowing some pieces to overlap for dimension.
- Add foam tape behind some elements to create depth and interest.
- Stamp your sentiment using Versamark ink and heat emboss in white, then trim and adhere to the card.
- Add white ink splatter across the background for a soft, artistic finish.
- Finish with a few sequins for a touch of sparkle.
