Hello crafty friends!
Today I’m sharing a soft and elegant floral card created using the Hugs in Bloom Press / Hot Foil Plate / Die Set & Stencil Set Bundle from Alex Syberia Designs. This bundle is one of those incredibly versatile sets that allows you to create beautiful layered floral designs with so many different techniques — including BetterPress, hot foiling, or simple ink blending with the coordinating stencils.
For this card I leaned into rich colour and subtle gold details to create a design that feels both elegant and heartfelt. The deep green background paired with the soft pink florals and gold accents creates a luxurious look that works perfectly for a thank-you card or any occasion where you want something a little extra special.
Why you’ll love the Hugs in Bloom Press Plate Bundle
The Hugs in Bloom Bundle is a fantastic option if you enjoy creating layered floral designs with plenty of dimension and detail.
Here are just a few reasons why this bundle is such a standout:
- Multiple techniques in one set – use it with BetterPress, hot foil, or simple ink stamping
- Coordinating stencils make colouring the florals quick and effortless
- Matching dies cut out the florals perfectly for dimensional layering
- The script “Hugs” sentiment adds a beautiful focal point to your card
- Works beautifully for thank you cards, sympathy cards, birthdays and more
Because everything in the bundle is designed to work together, it makes creating polished and professional-looking cards incredibly easy.
Card Inspiration – Elegant Hugs Floral Card

For this project I wanted to create something that felt soft, elegant and luxurious. The gold detailing against the rich green background gives the card a beautiful depth, while the pink florals soften the overall look and make the design feel warm and heartfelt. The large Hugs sentiment works perfectly as the focal point, with the smaller greeting finishing it off beautifully.
Step by step instructions
- Finish the card with a few sequins and a little twine for added texture and detail.
- Start by creating a green card base and a slightly smaller panel for the card front.
- Use the Hugs in Bloom Press / Hot Foil Plate on the green panel with gold foil to add the delicate floral background detail.
- Colour the coordinating floral images using the stencil set, blending pink shades onto the petals and adding warmer tones into the centres.
- Die cut the finished florals using the coordinating dies.
- Adhere the foiled background panel to the card base.
- Arrange the florals along the left-hand side and bottom right corner of the panel, using a mix of flat adhesive and foam tape to create extra dimension.
- Die cut the Hugs sentiment and layer it across the centre of the design.
- Add the smaller stamped sentiment strip over the script word to complete the greeting.
