Hello crafty friends!
Welcome to Day 14 of the challenge! Today’s theme is Magic of Midnight — an invitation to dive into the deep, moody elegance of navy, silver, and soft glowing highlights. This prompt is all about capturing that quiet, twinkling stillness of a winter night… the kind of magic you only notice when everything else fades into hush.

Daily Challenge

The Magic of Midnight theme encourages you to explore contrast, luminosity, and the drama of the night sky. Here are a few ideas to get those creative sparks going:
- Build a rich navy background and soften it with splattered white ink, shimmer spray, or pale ink blending to mimic stars or snow.
- Use silver embossing or metallic cardstock to introduce that cold-moon glow.
- Play with silhouettes — trees, doves, ornaments, or sentiments that pop strikingly against the dark.
- Try “glow edges” by brushing pale ink lightly around stamped images to create a subtle halo effect.
Today’s Project

For today’s card, I leaned fully into that midnight mood using the Peacebird Stamp Set from Simon Says Stamp. The bold, graphic doves are the perfect contrast piece against a deep navy background, instantly creating a modern and peaceful Christmas feel.
I started with a panel of dark blue cardstock and gave it that starry-night look using tiny splatters of white and pale green ink. Then, I stamped and trimmed the Peacebird silhouettes in crisp white, letting their clean lines stand out beautifully against the darkness. A few soft glow accents around the leaves give the design that little touch of ethereal moonlight.
The sentiment — Blessings and Good Cheer — is heat-embossed in white and layered across the centre, keeping everything cohesive and striking. The whole card has that dramatic, contemporary charm that the Magic of Midnight prompt is all about: calm, minimalist, and quietly magical.
