Welcome to Day 13 of the challenge! Today marks our third Sketch Challenge — a clean, modern layout designed to get those creative gears turning. Sketch days are all about interpreting the lines, shapes, and balance of the layout in your own unique way. Daily Challenge

Sketch challenges give you so much freedom while still offering that comforting structure to guide your composition. A few ideas you might explore today:
- Rotate or flip the sketch to find an unexpected layout.
- Use patterned paper or bold colour blocking to bring the panel to life.
- Swap the suggested elements for die-cuts, stamped images, or layered sentiments.
- Play with texture through embossing, stitched details, vellum strips, or glitter cardstock.
- Keep it simple and clean — or go all-out with drama and dimension.
There’s no wrong way to interpret the sketch. Let it lead you, and see where your creativity takes you.
Today’s Project

For today’s card, I brought the sketch to life using bold diagonal colour blocking in a cheerful rainbow palette. The star of the design is the Joy Cover Wafer Die from Simon Says Stamp, which creates that striking oversized sentiment frame. The clean white outline contrasts beautifully with the vibrant stripes layered behind it, letting the colours really shine.
To echo the horizontal element from the sketch, I added a sleek black sentiment strip across the centre, heat-embossed in white for crisp detail. A scattering of sequins finishes the card with a touch of festive sparkle.
It’s bright, modern, and full of joy — the perfect interpretation of today’s sketch.
