Hello crafty friends!
Today I’m sharing a soft and feminine friendship card created with the beautiful Abstract Floral Stamp & Cut from Hero Arts. I absolutely love how versatile this set is — the bold floral shapes paired with the delicate sentiments make it perfect for everything from friendship cards to encouragement projects.
For this card, I went with a soft pastel pink background and layered floral arrangement with pops of mustard yellow, deep berry tones, and lilac. The white heat embossing really helps the florals stand out while adding a soft handmade feel to the finished design.
Why You’ll Love the Abstract Floral Stamp & Cut Set
One of my favourite things about this set is how easy it is to build striking floral clusters. The abstract style means you don’t need to worry about perfection — the loose shapes and layering do all the work for you.
The coordinating dies make cutting everything out incredibly easy, allowing you to create dimensional arrangements in minutes. Whether you prefer clean and simple cards or fuller layered designs, this set works beautifully for both.
This set really shines when you start mixing colour palettes. Soft pastels, bold jewel tones, earthy neutrals — it all works. I especially love how the white embossing softens the brighter colours and ties the whole arrangement together.
Card Inspiration – Floral Friend Card

For this project, I wanted the florals to feel clustered and organic while keeping the overall design soft and elegant. The pale pink background creates a subtle frame for the brighter floral elements, while the white embossed sentiment helps anchor the arrangement without feeling too heavy.
The added twine detail and white splatter finish the card perfectly and give it that extra handmade touch.
Step-by-step Instructions
- Create an A2 sized card base using pale pink cardstock.
- Cut a slightly smaller panel from matching pink cardstock and adhere it to the card front using foam adhesive for subtle dimension.
- Stamp the floral images from the Abstract Floral Stamp & Cut set onto some more of the pale pink cardstock using pigment or dye inks in lilac, mustard yellow, berry, plum, and olive tones.
- Heat emboss the floral detail layer in white embossing powder for extra texture and contrast.
- Die cut all of the floral images using the coordinating dies.
- Arrange and adhere the florals onto the card front, overlapping elements to create a full bouquet effect.
- Stamp and heat emboss the “friend” sentiment in white onto vellum or white cardstock and die cut using the coordinating die.
- Stamp the secondary sentiment onto mustard cardstock and heat emboss in white before trimming into a banner strip.
- Adhere the sentiments across the centre of the floral arrangement using foam adhesive.
- Add a few strands of twine behind the sentiment for extra texture.
- Finish the card with white paint splatter for a soft artistic effect.
