Create a Bright Floral Friendship Card with the Around the Garden Bundle from Concord & 9th

Today I’m sharing a bright and cheerful card created with the gorgeous Around the Garden Bundle from Concord & 9th. I absolutely love how this design combines bold colour blocking with delicate floral texture for a card that feels playful, modern and full of personality.

The combination of rich berry tones, warm yellows and fresh greens instantly caught my eye, and pairing them with the oversized sentiment really helps create a bold focal point. This is one of those designs that looks detailed but comes together surprisingly easily once you start layering everything up.

Card Inspiration – Bright Floral Colour Block Card

For this card, I wanted to create something bold and graphic while still keeping lots of softness through the florals and twine details. The rounded floral panels create movement around the card while drawing your eye toward the large sentiment in the centre.

The bright colours against the soft neutral background really make the design pop, and the little layered flowers help tie everything together beautifully.

1. Create an A2 sized card base using light grey cardstock.
2. Cut several panels from coloured cardstock in berry pink, deep purple, mustard yellow and green shades.
3. Emboss each panel using the floral design from the Around the Garden Bundle.
4. Trim rounded shapes from the panels and arrange them across the card front, leaving small gaps between each section.
5. Adhere the panels using foam adhesive for added dimension.
6. Wrap white twine vertically around the card front several times and tie into a loose bow.
7. Die cut the “Have the Best Day” sentiment from white cardstock multiple times and stack together for dimension.
8. Adhere the sentiment across the centre of the card.
9. Add small layered flowers around the design using coordinating cardstock and enamel centres.
10. Finish with white ink splatter and a few sequins for extra detail and sparkle.
