Daily Challenge

This prompt is wide open for interpretation — think beyond the obvious and have a little fun with it. Here are a few ideas to inspire your take:
- Create a snowy scene featuring your favourite animal stamps or dies.
- Add texture with faux fur, flocking powder, or soft fibres.
- Use whisker-inspired details like fine linework, thread, or subtle embossing.
- Give classic Christmas icons a furry twist — perhaps a cat tangled in tinsel or a reindeer with a sparkly scarf.
Today’s Project

For my take on Winter Whiskers, I decided to interpret the theme in a slightly cheeky way — focusing on the nutcracker’s impressive facial hair! His bold whiskers instantly felt perfect for this challenge, and I have to give a big shout-out to Rose from Amelia Creative for the brilliant idea to see it this way.
I built the design around a rich, layered background featuring deep greens and warm festive tones. The nutcracker takes centre stage, paired with mixed papers for texture and contrast. The sentiment ‘Jolly Christmas’ adds a classic touch, while a few enamel dots and twine bring in that cosy, handcrafted finish.
It’s a reminder that creativity often hides in the small details — sometimes even in a moustache!
