Hello crafty friends!
Welcome to Day 3 of the challenge! Today is our first Sketch Challenge of the season — a clean, versatile layout that’s perfect for playing with layers, shapes, and proportions. Sketches give just enough structure to get you moving, while still leaving plenty of room to make it your own.

Daily Challenge

Let the sketch guide your placement and balance, then add your personality. A few ideas to try:
- Rotate or mirror the sketch to change the flow.
- Swap shapes (e.g., circles for rectangles, stars for circles) while keeping the overall balance.
- Play with scale — oversized focal element + tiny sentiment strip, or vice versa.
- Add texture through embossing, stitched edges, or layered vellum to echo the sketch lines.
- Mix finishes (matte, sparkle, acetate) to create contrast without clutter.
Today’s Project

For my take, I kept close to the sketch. I built up soft winter layers in pale blues and greys, using a stitched panel to add quiet texture. A bold central sentiment anchors the design, while a light scatter of sequins brings that frosty sparkle without overwhelming the layout. The sketch does the heavy lifting — the details make it feel finished.
