Card Inspiration | “Nu-thing Compares to You”

For my project, I couldn’t resist creating a woodland scene that highlights the adorable squirrel from the set. The sentiment “Nu-thing Compares to You” adds a playful finishing touch that makes this card ideal for sending a little love.
Here’s how I created it step by step:
- Background building – I started with a piece of smooth white cardstock, lightly blending soft sky blue at the top for a fresh, airy backdrop.
- Stamping and colouring – I stamped the squirrel, tree, and log cabin from the set, then coloured them with my OLO markers for a vibrant finish.
- Die cutting – Using the coordinating dies, I cut out all the stamped elements to give them crisp, clean edges.
- Scene assembly – The tree and house were layered to create depth, with the squirrel taking centre stage holding his little acorn.
- Sentiment placement – I stamped the sentiment in a rich brown ink to tie in with the earthy colour palette.
- Finishing touches – A few subtle ink splatters added texture, while layering onto a kraft card base gave the design a warm, autumnal feel.
The result? A card that’s equal parts adorable and heartfelt, perfect for sending to someone special.
