Card Inspiration – “Love U” Magnolia
This project is all about balance – a soft monochromatic palette, beautiful layering, and touches of texture to elevate the design. It’s simple to create, but looks polished and thoughtful. Heres how I made it:
- Base & Panel: Start with a pale peach card base. Tear the top and bottom edges of a coordinating cardstock panel to add texture, then mount it with foam tape for dimension.
- Die Cutting: Using the Delicate Magnolia Layering Die Set, die cut your flower layers in shades of pink and white. Blend deeper tones onto the petal bases to create natural shading, then assemble the flowers. Add soft green leaves and a pop of yellow for the flower centres.
- Focal Layer: Die cut a simple white circle to act as a base for your floral arrangement. This breaks up the background and draws the eye to the central elements.
