Happy Sunday! I was so excited to hear that the Creation Station was working to the theme of ‘Ombre’ this month. When I sat down to start the card I didn’t feel like ink blending so instead, I did a little colour blocking. I am using the Love for You Stamp Set [160398].
If you aren’t already a customer of mine and would like to be, you can request a catalogue here.
LOVE FOR YOU STAMP SET
When you have a lot of love for someone, say it with the Love for You Stamp Set. It includes two larger phrases and more than half a dozen other phrases you can use to customise your project to a variety of different occasions. You’ll have what you need for anniversaries, friendship, love, and other occasions. Get ready to make a big statement with minimal effort. Also available in French and German.
Todays Project
The background was created using stripes of different shades of blue card stock. The exact colours can be found in the supply list below. I know to make the strips equal they needed to be 2.8cm in height. Each strip was slightly larger to ensure we could create a little flap.
The flowers and sentiment are from the Love for You Stamp Set [160398]. I used the coordinating dies to cut these shapes out. I wanted to emphasize the flaps between the card stock. By positioning the flowers between the layers this works helps achieve this. To finish the card off I used the Loose Silver Sequins [161626], no matter what project you have, these sequins instants helps the project make an impact.

Brilliant idea. I like the ombré effect but f you have not perfected your blending skills this is a perfect substitute.
