Happy Wednesday! I was wondering – Does anyone else refer to it as hump day or is that a British thing? Make sure you let me know in the comments below. I wanted to share a project I created for Stampin’ Up! in sharing a little top tip. More about that later but it was created using the Artfully Layered Cling Stamp Set . One of my favourites and I am sad to see it go.
Artfully Layered Stamp Set
Send all the hugs with the Artfully Layered Stamp Set. Stamp imagery includes a combination of playful all-occasion greetings like hey there, thank you, happiest birthday wishes, and sending all the hugs, as well as tropical greenery leaves and plants. The stamp images are designed to be mixed and matched and stamped over the top of each other to create layers and collage elements for handmade cards. Use the textured script element for texture behind the leaves or stamp multiple times to create a stamped background. Also available in French and German.
So I shared the tip on a video the other day which is why I thought it was fitting to post this card now. I used our Watercolour Pencil to colour the Monstera leaf in. Now when you colour in pencil it can be hard to achieve a smooth image. Well did you know you can use our Stampin’ Blends Color Lifter to smooth it out? Now you do – Thank me later. You might have a little staining on the Stampin’ Blends Color Lifter but just scribble onto some scrap and you are good to go.
I wanted to create this, I don’t know, forest effect with the leaves. Which is why I stamped, die cut and coloured 5 in total for this project. They were arranged in opposing corners for dramatic effect. What makes these pop is the Vellum 12″ X 12″ Layering Designs . I wanted the back and white effect so I backed the vellum with white card just to let the back text show through.
