Happy Sunday! I’m excited to be back today sharing a project I created for the Creation Station Design Team. I love this team for all the fabulous idea they have for themes and this month is a good one. This month we are working to the theme of ‘Water’. Now for me I instantly thought of water colouring which is exactly the route I took. The main focus of these projects is the Give it a Whirl Dies [154336] & the Slim Saying Stamp Set [157963].
Don’t forget – If you would like me to be your demonstrator you can request a catalogue here.
Slim Sayings Stamp Set
Say it all with the Slim Sayings Stamp Set—these sentiments are designed to be slim, but they’re undoubtedly big at heart! This stamp set is brimming with fun, playful sentiments for almost any occasion, from birthdays and congrats to graduation and more. Pair these slim sentiments with a tall, slim card—oriented either vertically or horizontally—for a fresh take on your greeting cards! This stamp set is also available in French and German.
Todays Project
So before I start the original plan was to only make one project for this post however I had that much left over I couldn’t help but make another one. If I was honest I had enough to the make another 2 if I wanted. As previously mentioned, these cards were created under the theme of ‘Water’. I used our amazing Fluid 100 Watercolour Paper [149612] to create a water wash of colour listed below. Once these were dry it was a simple and die cutting all the little hearts out. These hearts are from the Give it a Whirl Dies [154336].
When primarily using dies to create a background it’s the perfect opportunity to bring out your sentiment only stamp sets. Some people love them, others don’t and that’s fine. I just see this as the perfect opportunity to use them. I used the Slim Saying Stamp Set [157963] which will be retiring at the end of the month – That does mean that it is currently on sale with 50% off… Don’t have it yet? Make sure you add it to your next order.
Now I know black card bases can split a crowd however it frames the soft water-coloured hearts. I would like to think that these cards would be perfect for teenagers which I know can sometimes be difficult. The background doesn’t even need to be hearts these could have been swapped out for the star dies also within the Give it a Whirl Dies [154336].
