Happy Sunday! I know I have been super quiet this month, but I have a good reason – We are very close to moving the house we have brought. It’s been a long time coming and we were actually due to move on Friday. Nevertheless I wanted to join with the Stamping Sunday Design Team as we say farewell to our favourite Sale-a-bration products. Today I am sharing my customer ‘Thank You’ cards which were created with the Calming Camellia Stamp Set [158117].
Calming Camellia Stamp Set
The Calming Camellia Host Stamp Set is another staple for your cardmaking stamp collection! The blurred lines of the artwork have a soft elegance, which makes this stamp set perfect for creating cards to send to your loved ones of all ages. The range of sentiments paired with a timeless font are highly versatile. Simply stamp the beautiful camellia image in a single colour for a subtle touch or make an impact by stamping the image in black and adding your own colour story to it. Also available in French and German.
Anytime you spend £275 or more, the exclusive host stamp set is included for FREE!
Todays Project
The Calming Camellia Stamp Set [158117] was on my wish list from the moment I saw it. From what I have seen on social media – I’m not the only one. There are so many examples and inspiration out there for it. For me though I wanted to keep it really simple, keeping the colour tone very muted to create a subtle elegance. I used Soft Sea Foam Card [147012] for the card base and used Old Olive Ink [147090] to stamp my image. When stamping I stamped the images I slightly overlayered the image in order fill out the empty space.
It wouldn’t be a ‘Martin’ card without the ink splatter across it. I do this by watering down Whisper White Reinker [101780] and just splattering it across the layer. I knew I wanted to add a ribbon on it. So with that in mind, I decided to do something a little different by punching two wholes on the right side in order to feed through some white twine from the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack [155475]. I finished this in a bow before adhering the sentiment over the top.

Love that you used your signature ink splatter. And I like that you threaded the twine through the punched holes. Great projects Martin.
