Its Thursday which means one thing: I’m back with the OSAT Design Team. This month we are exploring the theme of ‘Boys in the Hood’ which let’s be real, masculine cards. I know this is something a lot of people don’t enjoy so I hope it inspires you. I’m featuring the Biggest Wishes Stamp Set [155052] from the new Annual Catalogue.
Biggest Wishes Stamp Set
Make a statement with the Biggest Wish Stamp Set!
The sentiments in this stamp set are sized to make an impact where it counts. The strong bold fonts are gender-neutral, meaning you can use this stamp set for all the people in your life. Additionally, the large bold fonts, along with the smaller script fonts in this stamp set, are designed to pair together in perfect balance. Pair this with your favourite image or background stamps. This stamp set is also available in French and German.
Todays Project
I had so much fun creating this project. I don’t know if you remember but I share a project I created for the Artisan Design Team where I used this technique for the background. The ink was applied directly to the largest clear block and spritzed it a couple of times. This allows the water to start moving around. I used Basic White Card [159228] which might come as a surprise. Our card stock isn’t friendly with water normally however if you apply heat with a heat tool directly after you’ll be fine.
This card using a large range of Designer Series Paper that is either on the retiring list or new in the Annual Catalogue. Personally I always struggle in using the patterned paper however by using smaller pieces it makes it more manageable. The papers chosen are also tone on tone which dramatically helps with the different papers introduced. I wanted the main focus to be the sentiment from Biggest Wishes Stamp Set [155052]. The ‘Birthday’ was from the Brushed Blooms Stamp Set [154432] as it had a more ridged type.
