Happy Friday! Today I wanted to share with you a project that I created for the Fancy Friday Design Team. The theme for this month was our ‘Favourite Mini Item’. One of my favourite items is the True Love Designer Series Paper [154281]. This is a part of the Love You Always Suite [155977] where you can also find the Always in my Heart Stamp Set [154337]. Have you checked out our Mini Catalogue? Click here to see it now.

As soon as I saw the True Love Designer Series Paper [154281] I knew I needed to get my Paper Snips [103579] to them. This took a little time to do however the effect is so worth it. I found that once the flowers have been cut out, they become a little flat. To help with this I added a little Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blend [154904] It makes the world of difference. I layered these onto a card base and matted layer of So Saffron Card [108611].

Even though there is a lot happing with the flowers on this card, there needed to be something else happening in the background of the card. I used our brand-new Blender Blushes [153611] to apply So Saffron Ink [147109] down onto the card. I love a little an ink splatter as well, this is created with our Whisper White Refill [101780]. The sentiment was taken from the Always in my Heart Stamp Set [154337]. This was stamped onto Basic White Card [159228] with Memento Ink [132708].

Hello Martin!! I have a question. How do you use the Whisper White refill for yuor “spotting”? Thanks!!
Hi Jan, I thought I had a video demonstrating this but it turns out I don’t other than in a Tutorial bundle. I’ll see if I can record something in the coming days!
It’s really easy though. I put a generous blob of reinker onto a clear block, add a little water with a water painter and the just trap the brush. Finding the right constancy is the hardest part. I always add a little and see if the taps off the brush if not add a little more. If it’s too watery then it goes translucent.
