Monday’s aren’t the best day of the week normally however hopefully today’s post make it better. Today also sees the start of the final week of the 30 Day Card Making Challenge. For me it has seemed to have flown by and served the purpose of being a good distraction.
Day 24 is the third and final card sketch of the challenge. This is a little sad as I don’t know about you but I’ve loved them. I normally created sketches for specific project but never generic ones such as these.
When I sat down this weekend to plan and prepare for this weeks challenges I looked at the stuff hardly used. One Suite that doesn’t get enough display is the Garden Lane which consists of a stamp set and Pack of DSP. I don’t get why we aren’t using it more? Some of my most popular projects were created with it.
It was a by chance I stumbled across this stitched rectangle from the Ornate Layers Dies. These dies are available in the early release of the Ornate Garden Suite. Which may I add is back in stock so if you haven’t got them yet go get them now before they disappear; again!
On the sketch the main focal point (the star) has been dramatically reduced. The reason for me doing this was because the sentiment is so chunky it helps with the balance of the project. The leaf stamp might seem a little challenging to fussy cut but it’s so worth it!
Don’t forget to share you creation for this theme using the hashtag #30DayCardMakingChallenge.
