And so the time has come for me to stop with Christmas cards and long forward Spring and Summer time. Back in September when I started planning Christmas card designs I was a little nervous, now this will be project 20 and there’s not one card I regret posting or sharing with you all.
This card is a little repeat of a previous card however there is a little difference in colour and style. I swapped the Crumb Cake base with a clean Whisper white one to allow for the rich Spaded Spruce to pop. Having this bold colour standing centre stage on the card also give the Embellishment of the stars room to stand out. There’s really not much to stay about this card other than to let the small elements to speak for themselves.
My favourite part of of the card is the Smoky Slate detail stamped in the background. Taking this little detail just to fill some of the blank space. One element that I was a little concerned with was drawing the lines for positioning of this stamp, sometimes you just have to me daring. This is easy swapped out by creating a mask before stamping, the reason this wasn’t an option is because I wanted this card to be quick and easy. If you wanted to mass produce this card then I would recommend you consider a mask. Have a look at how the card was made:
I only have four more posts of 2018 and that’s scary! I hope you come back to see the final four projects and join me as we head into 2019 with the start of Sale-a-bration and the Spring/Summer Catalogue.
See you around!
