Monotone Friend

Happy Sunday! I can’t believe how quickly the weekend has gone. Yesterday I held my first Monthly Coffee and a Card class, it was so much fun to get everyone together and create two projects. Just look how happy they all are!

Today’s card is one of the projects that I had designed for them all to do. I love how monotone style with Basic Black and Smoky Slate. I also used the Tufted Embossing Folder to create the quilted background which I simply adore. The Botanical Bliss stamp set was perfect to help with the sleek style to the card.

Using the coordinating Thinlet’s Botanical Tags and vellum I created that the foliage sits around the sentiment. This just gives that excellent embellishment to the card. As I had a kit left over I created a quick video running through how the card was made. Click here to watch the video.

This wasn’t always the original design, to start with the design didn’t us any element from that required a Big Shot. While having access to a Big Shot can help you step your cards up, I understand that this is a big ticket items and not accessible to everyone. Hopefully you’ll be able to see that it is not required for you to achieve the same look with just using a few other embellishments.
