Today I’m sharing another little peek at what I’ve been creating for my upcoming workshop next week, using the beautiful Autumn Whispers Bundle from Altenew.
I really wanted this card to capture that slightly softer side of autumn. Rather than going straight for bold oranges and yellows, I worked with warm peach, cream and deep earthy reds, creating a card that still feels unmistakably autumnal but with a much more muted, elegant finish.
There’s plenty going on here too: stamping, ink blending, die cutting and a few dimensional details all come together without making the finished card feel overly complicated. It’s exactly the sort of project I love teaching because there are lots of little techniques that can easily be taken away and used on completely different cards.

For this workshop card, I wanted to create the feeling of falling leaves moving across the card, with some sitting directly on the background and others lifted forward to create dimension.
The soft ink-blended background helps connect everything together, while the cream card left showing through keeps the design light and gives the sentiment plenty of breathing room. A little twine and a scattering of sequins finish everything off with just enough texture and shine.
