Today I’m sharing a bright and cheerful card created with the Born to Bloom collection from Rosie’s Studio. I absolutely love how easy collections like this make it to layer together different patterns, textures and embellishments while still ending up with a really cohesive design.
For this card, I went all in on the layers, combining the gorgeous floral patterns with that deep blue cardstock and little pops of soft yellow, pink and green. The oversized heart gives everything a strong focal point, while the large “hello” sentiment finishes it off perfectly.

Card Inspiration: You Amaze Me Floral Heart Card
For this card, I wanted to create plenty of dimension while keeping the large floral heart as the star of the show. I built up the background with torn patterned paper and layered ephemera before adding the oversized sentiment across the centre.
The twine and small embellishments add just enough texture to break up the paper layers, while the dark blue background really helps all of those softer colours stand out.
- Create a square card base from dark blue cardstock and cut a slightly smaller panel from the same cardstock for the front.
- Adhere the smaller panel onto the card base using foam adhesive to create a subtle raised border.
- Tear a strip of yellow patterned paper from the Born to Bloom collection and adhere it horizontally across the centre of the card.
- Create a large heart from one of the floral patterned papers and position it slightly to the right of centre.
- Layer additional patterned paper pieces and coordinating ephemera over the heart, allowing some of the pieces to overlap and extend beyond the edges.
- Add the large “hello” sentiment across the centre of the arrangement using foam adhesive for extra dimension.
- Add the smaller “You amaze me” sentiment over the bottom of the larger greeting.
- Tie a loose piece of natural twine around or through the layered elements, allowing the ends to fall freely across the card.
- Finish the design with a few coordinating embellishments, including the small heart and dimensional dots, to balance the composition.
I love how all of the different patterns come together on this card. There’s quite a lot happening, but because everything comes from the same collection, the finished design still feels really coordinated.
