ello crafty friends!
There is just something about a deep, dramatic background paired with soft pink florals that gets me every single time. For today’s card, I’ve been creating with the Alex Syberia Designs Peony Corners Stamp, Die & Stencil Bundle, using those gorgeous peonies to frame the card and create plenty of impact without needing lots of additional embellishment.
I love how the Peony Corners design does so much of the work for you. The large floral arrangements can easily become the main feature of a card, while the coordinating stencils make adding all that colour and detail much quicker than it might first appear.
For this design, I went with shades of pink for the flowers, warm brown tones for the foliage and a rich burgundy background. Add in a little natural twine, some white splatter and that kraft sentiment, and I think it gives the whole card a slightly rustic feel while still keeping those beautiful florals front and centre.
Why you’ll love the Alex Syberia Designs Peony Corners Stamp, Die & Stencil Bundle
If you love big floral designs, this is definitely one of those bundles that gives you loads of possibilities.
The Peony Corners Stamp, Die & Stencil Bundle combines a beautifully illustrated floral stamp with coordinating layering stencils and dies. This means you can get the detailed look of a coloured image without having to sit and individually colour every single petal and leaf.
The corner arrangement is particularly useful because you can use it exactly as intended to frame a card, trim sections from it to create smaller floral clusters, or change the orientation completely depending on your design.
Card Inspiration – Heartfelt Thanks Peony Card

For this card, I really wanted those gorgeous peonies to frame the design rather than completely cover the background. The deep burgundy cardstock gives the soft pink flowers so much contrast, while the natural twine and kraft sentiment bring in a slightly rustic feel.
I also love the tone-on-tone layering in the centre. It adds dimension without introducing another colour and gives the floral corners somewhere to sit while still leaving plenty of that beautiful burgundy showing.
Add the With Heartfelt Thanks sentiment over the twine towards the lower-left section of the card to finish.
- Create a top-folding card base from deep burgundy cardstock.
- Cut a second panel from the same burgundy cardstock slightly smaller than the card front.
- Add white splatters across the smaller burgundy panel and set it aside to dry.
- Stamp the Alex Syberia Designs Peony Corners image onto smooth white cardstock.
- Use the coordinating layering stencils to colour the image, building up several shades of pink through the peonies before adding warm brown tones to the leaves and foliage.
- Die cut the finished Peony Corners image using the coordinating die.
- Trim the die-cut floral image into sections so that the flowers can be arranged around the top-right and bottom-left corners of the card.
- Wrap natural twine several times around the left-hand side of the smaller burgundy panel, securing it at the back before tying a loose bow towards the bottom.
- Add foam adhesive to the back of the burgundy panel and adhere it centrally onto the card base.
- Arrange the Peony Corners sections around the top-right and bottom-left of the card, allowing the flowers and foliage to overlap the raised centre panel. Adhere the pieces using liquid glue and foam adhesive where additional dimension is needed.
