Today I’m sharing a cheerful friendship card featuring the Hello Friend Clear Stamp & Die Bundle from Hero Arts. I love how this bundle combines bold typography with sweet sentiments, making it perfect for creating quick yet impactful cards.
For this project, I paired the large die-cut greeting with a simple stamped floral border and a touch of natural twine. Card Inspiration – Bright Floral Hello Card
Sometimes a simple design is all you need. The delicate floral stamping frames the card without overwhelming the focal sentiment, while the navy cardstock adds contrast and sophistication.
The addition of rustic twine softens the design and gives it a handmade feel, making this card perfect for sending a thoughtful note to brighten someone’s day.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Create a landscape card base from navy cardstock.
- Trim a panel of white cardstock slightly smaller than the card front.
- Stamp small floral and leaf images around the edges of the white panel using pink, yellow, and green inks.
- Adhere the stamped panel to the card front using foam adhesive for added dimension.
- Wrap natural twine around the panel several times and tie into a bow near the upper left area.
- Die cut the large “hello” sentiment from navy cardstock.
- Stamp and heat emboss the coordinating sentiment “You Brighten My Day” onto yellow cardstock.
- Trim the sentiment into a small banner strip.
- Adhere the die-cut “hello” to the centre of the card.
- Add the sentiment strip across the lower portion of the greeting using foam adhesive.
- Finish by adjusting the twine bow and securing any loose ends.
The result is a clean, colourful card that’s easy to recreate in different colour combinations.
